I didn't ever have to take the nasty drink my Dr.s office had alternatives with the same sugar grams, so you could choose. I had to go on an iron supplament. I was leary of the idea, but I felt so much better and not so tired. It really helped me. Don't feel bad about the weight gain, you look fabulous. I think I had dreams about only gaining 20 lbs.
