Well, I’m finally blogging about our trip across the country. I will begin of course at the beginning- how we got started. We left Monday June 9th and arrived in Virginia late June 14. The whole moving experience has been one where we knew almost nothing up until the moment we left.
First of all Ben’s work told us that the moving company would come and move us Saturday, June 7th. Earlier that week I began packing and getting ready. Little did I know until half way done that the movers actually box everything up for you and load it in the truck. Well, at least I didn’t do everything. Then, as Saturday nears we find out from the moving company that they can’t come get us until the next Thursday. We were so discouraged! After Ben used his persuasive skills on a co-worker she pulled some strings and said they could come on Monday and Tuesday. With that news we were pacified for the time being. Monday morning shows up and the movers came! As Ben got talking with them he realized that they were planning on doing everything that day-which was news to us. So after learning that we started thinking about leaving Tuesday morning after we cleaned the apartment. Then came my best friend to the rescue. Tiffany has been such a help each time we’ve moved. She is a Saint! She offered her FHE group to come and clean our place so we could take off immediately. Wow, what a blessing!! (Thank you so much guys. You’ll never know what that meant to us!) Before we knew it we were on the road.
It was the easiest move so far. The moving company packed everything up in one afternoon and then Tiff’s FHE group cleaned for us. It was all heaven sent because with the pregnancy I needed to rest and not stress.
