I said Goodbye to this handsome boy:
And I went here:
I met this lady:
And then I saw him again: (AWKWARD!)
I had an amazing 4 week experience:
Then got on an airplane:
And flew here:
I can’t believe it has been 5 years since I became a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The 4 weeks I spent at the Missionary Training Center were full of learning, teaching and a lot of laughs. The 18 months that followed in Washington D.C. was life changing and unforgettable. Cheers to serving God and helping teach His word to the world!
I didn’t know you served your mission here! How fun!
And yes, that would be awkward seeing him in the MTC =)
I remember being at work one day and Ben was sending something to you on your mission and he showed me a picture of you and he was talking about how pretty you are. So cute!
Crazy how your mission was so much like your life.
I can’t wait until I can serve a mission, I always feel like I missed out not going before I was married.
You are beautiful! A lot has happened in 5 years! I can’t believe it was only 5 years ago for you!
I didn’t know that he was in the MTC at the same time as you, crazy! You two are so cute together, and you look beautiful!
I can’t believe….. 5 years??? I remember your first day on a mission, It was a privilege to serve with you!
July I did 4 years that I came back home…that is scary….
Love you
Love this post and these pictures Britt. I was cracking up at the “AWKWARD!” pic. haha. You were the best Sister missionary! Love you tons!!!
FYI: Ben was a teacher at the MTC not a missionary.
I didn’t know you guys knew each other before the mission. I remember when you left on your mission. You left good ol birch:). Time sure does fly.
I know I’m a month late on this post, but I had to give a shout out to DC north 🙂 Missions really are great, it’s been almost 5 years since I came home and I still think about it for some reason pretty much every day. Good times! and yes, that awkward missionary picture is funny!
