Hallie started dance class about a month ago and she loves it! It is hilarious to watch these little 3 and 4 year olds concentrate so hard. You can literally see their brains working trying to send the message to their feet. Hallie’s class is half ballet and half tap. Kyle is so jealous. Despite the toys they have in the waiting room he tries to go in the studio every week. Who knew having kids 23 months apart would end up being like having twins. Where Hallie goes Kyle goes and visa versa. (Except dance. Hence the tears.)
Here is a link to the real action. (Mostly for the grandma’s)
After our date the Trapeze school offered a two for one class special that I just couldn’t pass up. This last Monday I went back for a two hour class using only the trapeze. It was incredible! There were only 6 of us students and so we got lots of tries on the trapeze. I learned some new tricks like a back flip dismount and a new jumping catch. So awesome!
This is it. Just a tent in D.C.I always get nervous when I climb this huge ladder.Leaning over and grabbing the bar is also nerve racking. You have to completely trust the person holding your belt. This is the fun part!
Here is the link to my new catch trick. It was a jumping catch which means I had to completely jump off the bar before I was caught. I can’t wait to go again!
I have been so bad at blogging that I have so many pictures of the kiddos I don’t know how to categorize them. This blog is a camera clean up. Lots of random pictures of the two cutest kids in the world. Who at the moment are refusing to nap and are causing me to pull out my newly dyed hair..Maybe looking at some cute pictures of them will soften my attitude toward them. It’s worth a shot.
Let’s rewind to Valentines Day:
Hallie chose kitty valentines this year. (Although we waited so long to buy them there wasn't much of a selection.)Kyle got car valentines.
Our neighbors Alex and Nate came over to do some Valentine crafts.
Other Random days over the last month:
Messy Playdough: (I no longer wonder why my mom banned this in my house growing up.)Having a picnic under the table. This is often their hideout place to go together.Kyle's life changed when he discovered the power of the stool a couple months ago.Hallie was sitting on a stool eating so Kyle went and carried one from the bathroom so he could be just like sister. He does this ALL the time. He loves her!Doing a science project and learning about rain.
I love my munchies. They keep me laughing and smiling in between moments where they try my patience. I couldn’t imagine life with out my two little sidekicks.
For valentines this year Ben bought us a date package to the Trapeze School in D.C. It was such a great present. We had a blast to say the least. I love love love little adventures like this. It was so fun discovering new things we can do. Thanks babe for the wonderful gift. You nailed it!
The Silks:
Step 1
Step 2Step 3It took me a couple tries to get up the ribbon but Ben got it right away! One of the fancy poses they taught us.
I took some great photos of Ben posing but he won’t allow the public to view them. lol
Partner Balancing: This was hilarious!
Our faces show just how much fun we were having.
Trapeze: I wasn’t nervous at all until I climbed the ladder. Oh my! I was still shaking after I was back on the ground. They gave us two tries each and if they thought your form was good they let you try a catch but you only had one chance.
Ben getting ready to jump.Ben swinging! After my catch I was so so happy!
I loved it so much that I signed up for two more classes. (They are much cheaper than the package we bought.) The classes will only be trapeze and I will get to learn new tricks and catches. So exciting!!!!
